This skein is based on Helen Frankenthaler's painting called Cravat. The painting uses the soak stain technique which Frankenthaler pioneered, I get really excited when artist's use innovative techniques to make art, I love experimenting when dyeing skeins of yarn and take inspiration from mavericks like Helen Frankenthaler when I do!

This is made from fully traceable organically grown fleece, the finest produced from the Falkland Islands, South Atlantic. A standard 4 ply made from 100% Superwash Merino wool which is soft to touch and won't be itchy next to the skin. The fibres have been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore it will not ‘felt’ when washed, it is a great easy-care yarn - but please be gentle with your hand knits!
